100 Liverpool Street
Interstice at 100 Liverpool Street takes inspiration from the site’s history as a major railway interchange in the City of London ¶ Twenty abstract panels, conjure the sense of a journey, and the fleeting glimpses of a landscape caught through the windows of a carriage in rapid motion. ¶ Its rich colours draw on those of railway signals and its sumptuous hand-glazed surfaces sit in contrast with the muted tones and industrial sensibility of the surrounding cityscape. ¶ In keeping with the timeless tradition of ceramics in architecture, the artwork will be absorbed into the long history of this lively London transport hub. ¶ Photography Charles Hosea.
