The most significant presentation of Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art staged in Hong Kong, this group exhibition brings together work by eleven artists, including Lubna Chowdhary, Jitish Kallat, Balraj Khanna, Soghra Khurasani, Desmond Lazaro, Nasreen Mohamedi, Boshudhara Mukherjee, Mithu Sen, Anwar Jalal Shemza, Vishwa Shroff, and Zarina. ¶ In collaboration with Chemould Prescott Road, Jhaveri Contemporary, and TARQ. Co-curated with Adeline Ooi.

Jantar Mantar 2 acquired by Government Art Collection

Lubna Chowdhary's ceramic work Jantar Mantar 2 has been acquired by the UK Government Art Collection for display in New Delhi. The work was shown at Cristea Roberts Gallery in the group exhibition ‘Ways of Making, Ways of Thinking’ in autumn 2025.

'Geometric Abstraction' group exhibition at B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music now on view in Athens. ¶ Curated by art historian Yannis Bolis, the exhibition attempts a shift from strict formalism to themes of memory, identity, politics and cultural heritage through the works of six pioneering female artists: Opy Zouni, Etel Adnan, Samia Halaby, Saloua Raouda Choucair, Ebtisam Abdulaziz, and Lubna Chowdhary. Bone, Soot and Oil. <br> Earl Pumping Station, London

'Bone, Soot and Oil' - the second of two permanent public artworks commissioned by Thames Tideway for Earl Pumping Station in London. ¶ The artwork draws inspiration from the historic whaling trade that once dominated the nearby Greenland Dock during the 18th century. The piece reinterprets the traditional technique of scrimshaw (etching on whale bone and teeth) through the use of lava stone and ceramic glaze. An abstract pattern of carved black lines moves across an ivory surface, echoing both the ventral grooves of a whale’s underside and the rippling of water above a vast hidden form.

Lubna Chowdhary's Assembly (2025) has been acquired by the Tate for the national collection through the Frieze Tate Fund. The work was exhibited with Jhaveri Contemporary at Frieze London.
